Windows Log Review
Oh my goodness! I spent the 2nd half of my summer reviewing all of my CySA+ notes and book to prepare for the exam, and for some reason, I totally missed this assignment. I have no idea why I kept skipping over reviewing this one. This ended up being one of my performance-based questions, and looking this assignment over and the attached "cheat sheet", I knew something like this in my arsenal could've helped me.
Here's the assignment prompt:
One of the things we have heard about the CompTIA certification exam is that it is log analysis heavy, meaning you must have a pretty good grasp of reviewing logs to do well on the certification exam.
Using the attached cheat sheet and guidance, review the logs of your computer. Find some errors—there are always a few—and report on them. Identify if the cheat sheet helped you. If so, how?
